After about sixty years of absence in the French Alps, wolves coming from Italy have progressively recolonized the massif ever since they came back to the Alpes-Maritimes at the beginning of the 1990s.
Nowadays, while the wolf population grows beyond the alpine massif, the relationships between wolves and humans remain difficult. However easy it may be to marvel at the animal in its natural context, one should take into account the human aspect along with the restraints induced by its presence but also measure the changes and difficulties brought about by this return.
This section will allow you to (re)discover the main aspects of the biology of wolves and the relationships between humans and the species.
